Dr. Philip Stephanou is a Silicon Valley, CA, based technologist and entrepreneur who has founded four startups and made successful exits. He is an expert in sensors, frequency control devices and MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) for applications ranging from consumer electronics and IoT (Internet of Things) to industrial and defense applications.
Phil has numerous technical publications and more than two dozen U.S. patents.

Experienced in M&A, Strategy Consulting, and commodity markets. Author of the book ‘The Profit’ on Corporate Strategy, serves on the American Petroleum Institute (API), Houston Board of Directors.
Previous to joining Sterling Concord Partners, Mr. Lurie was a partner at boutique investment bank Venture Capricorn, a member of the Gottesman Company M&A, and a consultant at JLS advising companies primarily in the Oil & Gas and complementary industries. Additionally in his career, he has experience selling commodity price hedges, and as an entrepreneur by founding a custom clothing label focused on mass-customization.

Mr. Lurie is a football fanatic following the Univ. of Michigan and the Houston Texans. He is an avid soccer and tennis player along with his son Preston and wife Elizabeth.

Mr. Lurie is an experienced strategist for lower mid-market enterprises specializing in growth and expansion. An active volunteer for SCORE (partner of the SBA), and a retired Marketing Director for various for and non-profit organizations.

A lifelong baseball fan and follower of the Detroit Tigers, he frequents Houston Astros games along with his wife Debye, in addition to numerous Houston Symphony concerts throughout their season.
