Mr. Eric Standlee
Mr. Justin L. Lurie
A father of three and husband of 23+ years, Eric Standlee has built a number of successful companies and a worldwide network. His 17+ companies span 29+ years in finance, oilfield, IT, staffing, manufacturing, and in the utilities spaces. The Standlees’ single-family-office has funded 1000s of companies with billions of dollars in the last 30 years.
Recently, a pre-revenue oilfield roustabout welding startup grew with Mr. Standlee’s capital infusion and advisory from zero to $240MM in annualized revenue in one year, valued at $500MM. The company sold in 18 months dating from the beginning of his involvement.
Interested Buyers can partner with the Standlees’ family office to purchase companies without providing initial capital. The family office performs the due diligence and will provide 100% of the necessary funds for a down payment on approved acquisitions, including funding a potential earn-out. Additional on-going funding is available post acquisition to assist in earn-out(s) and driving significant growth.
In a recent acquisition example, a downstream engineering firm acquired a $4.9MM valve company via the family office’s funding. An initial $1MM down payment was quickly delivered, and the earn-out will be completed in just over a year.
Early in his career, Mr. Standlee proudly served in the United States Air Force as a cryptologic linguist journeyman, Chinese Mandarin. Recently, Eric has become an executive producer in feature films as well.
Mr. Standlee is happily married to a real life Japanese Samurai Princess, and their family of five resides in Houston, Texas.

Experienced in M&A, Strategy Consulting, and commodity markets. Author of the book ‘The Profit’ on Corporate Strategy, serves on the American Petroleum Institute (API), Houston Board of Directors.
Previous to founding Sterling Concord Partners, Mr. Lurie was a partner at boutique investment bank Venture Capricorn, a member of the Gottesman Company M&A, and a consultant at JLS advising companies primarily in the Oil & Gas and complementary industries. Additionally in his career, he has experience selling commodity price hedges, and as an entrepreneur by founding a custom clothing label focused on mass-customization.
In the 2018 Midterm elections, Justin Lurie was a Republican primary candidate for the US House of Representatives, Texas' 2nd Congressional District.
Mr. Lurie is a frequent and professional public speaker, addressing audiences on topics related to Strategy and/or M&A nationally. He is often quoted in the media, and has had multiple articles on Strategy published.
Mr. Lurie is a football fanatic following the Univ. of Michigan and the Houston Texans. He is an avid soccer and tennis player along with his son Preston and wife Elizabeth.
